Environmental Noise
Compliance environmental noise measurements and assessment
based on ISO 1996 with reference to Guidance Note For Noise: Licence Applications, Surveys and Assessments in Relation to Scheduled Activities (NG4).
Compliance environmental noise monitoring is often required to be carried out by companies licensed by EPA under Industrial Emissions/IPC and Waste Permits, companies regulated by Local Authorities or holders of Environmental Management System Certification (EMS) ISO 14001.
The aim of this measurement and assessment is to check compliance with noise emission limits specified by relevant regulations.
Rating and assessing industrial and commercial sound
based on BS 4142.
BS 4142 provides methods for rating and assessing industrial and commercial sound to protect health, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance operational efficiency. It helps prevent hearing loss, stress, and productivity issues while avoiding fines for non-compliance. Proper noise management under BS 4142 also improves workplace comfort, identifies equipment issues, supports hearing conservation, and fosters good community relations, contributing to a safer and more efficient industrial environment.
Construction noise monitoring
based on BS 5228 .
Construction noise monitoring is carried out to ensure that the limits assigned in the event of a grant of planning approval are not exceeded as well as to ensure that construction works are carried out in the manner minimizing negative impact on local community and environment.
